Long range people and intruder detection can be used wherever there are perimeter fences. Night vision capability means there is no need to light the fences.

Infrared can see further than visible methods (2X to 5X the distance of visible). This means significantly reduced installation costs due to fewer towers, and less ducting and cabling. It can also reduce the number of physical patrols by auto-detecting incursions and operating alarms.

Ranges depend on lens selected, from 300m to 3km, dependent on the lens field of view.

Infrared is much less intrusive and environmentally better for the ‘Dark Skies Initiative’.
